Hayward AquaBug/Penguin/Wanda the Whale/Diver Dave Gear Box

The Hayward gearbox is replacement parts that are made by Hayward. They used the same high-grade materials that were used to make the original factory parts. This makes them genuine OEM parts that all our customers can trust.

This gearbox is the brains of the cleaner as it operates the majority of the gears and parts that need rotating power to operate. This gearbox is also responsible for controlling when to turn the cleaner in a different direction so that way its cleaning pattern changes allowing it to cover the entire concrete surface of the inground pool.

This part is small and shaped like a box on its top side while the lower half is shaped to conform to the cleaner’s lower middle body fitting snugly into place so that way it cannot move. The box also has another part included with it and that is the little red 3/4 disc that allows water to travel up through to the medium turbine when the disc has uncovered the opening on the gearbox. This rotates all the gears in the upper middle body including the cone gear which turns the cleaner in another direction (left or right).
