The wheel cage assembly is a replacement part made by Polaris. Making this a genuine OEM product.
The wheel cage assembly is meant to be used for the sweep hose assembly. Its purpose is to allow the sweep hose to roll and glide over the bottom surface of the pool and or walls/corners keeping it from getting stuck. This would make the sweep hoses cleaning abilities ineffective.
This part is white and flared on its one end with little wheels attached to the outer rim. It has an opening through its middle where it can be fitted over the top of the sweep hose.
