This threaded adapter was designed to fit 1.5 in and 2 in threaded skimmers and connects to the automatic regulator valve. You want to thread the threaded adapter into the skimmer and then push in your auto regulator valve and then finally the Kreepy hose may be installed.

The part itself is white and threaded on its upper and lower side as its meant to adapt to the size of your pools skimmer that way all the other attachments can be installed that help the cleaner operate.
