Hayward AquaBug/Penguin/Wanda the Whale/Diver Dave Bottom Plate

The bottom plate is a replacement part that was made by Hayward. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.

This bottom plate was made to help aid these suction cleaners in their ability to remove dirt and debris from a vinyl above ground pool and it’s able to do this with the groove-like pattern that can be visibly seen on its face. This pattern creates a channel of water from 7 different directions that pull the dirt and debris to its center where it can then travel up through the smaller mouth opening and nozzle. Eventually through the cleaner’s hose, then finally into the pools skimmer and filtration system.

This plate is white and rests below where the mouth of the cleaner opening and nozzle is located. It is held onto the open lower body by three screws that lock it firmly into place allowing no movement.
