The hose weight is a replacement part that was made by Hayward. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.

This part was designed to be exactly what it is named, a weight. These suction cleaners are light unlike other suction cleaners Hayward produces like the Classic or the Navigator Pro, so this weight helps by keeping the cleaner and hose on the bottom of the surface as opposed to floating up to the top of the water, making the cleaner ineffective.

This hose weight is black and should be positioned at the joint between the first and second set of hoses from the head of the cleaner, you want to observe the cleaner’s movement over your entire pool. If it still is having issues keeping a 45-degree angle or contact with the pool, you will have to adjust the weight to correct the issue. In some cases, depending on the style of pool you have, this weight may not even be required to install.
