The skirt assembly is the main protective unit for a lot of different parts that all work together to create the turning power for this suction cleaner. The parts that are housed in this unit are thecone gear,intermediate gear,intermediate gear shaft,spindle gear screw,cone spindle gear,spindle gear bushing, and finally, thecone gear bushing. This body also acts as a protective cover for these parts ensuring no outside influence can disrupt them or wear on them as the suction cleaner operates.

This part is blue to match the color scheme of the Hayward cleaner listed above and has mounting points along the top side for all the various parts it houses. It has an opening in its center in which the dirt and debris travel up and out through the cleaner and into the pool’s filtration system.
