These stainless steel plates are designed to prevent wear and tear on theTop Feed 6-Port Housing or Low Profile 6-Port Housing and also the lower cam. The washers sit between the housing and the lower cam. As the cam rotates around the valve, the two washers spin to reduce friction and prevent the plastic from wearing down.
