Pentair Kreepy Krauly Legend / Legend II / Platinum Turbine Drive Shaft – Complete (EC86)

The turbine drive shaft (complete) is a replacement part made by Pentair. The same high-quality materials were used to manufacture the original factory part. Making this a genuine OEM product.

Like most vehicles or products that have wheels, they all have something that gives them the power and ability to move, and in most cases, this comes from a driveshaft. However, this shaft in particular gets its power from the turbine that is located on its end, and above that is a turbine cover with elbows which takes the high-pressure water coming from the feed mast and hose that it’s attached to and shoots it directly to the turbine. This rotating power is then sent to the wheels enabling the cleaner to move around the pool as it sucks and pulls dirt and debris from its surface.

The shaft itself is metal and the turbine on its end is black, making both parts easy to recognize when looking at the internals of the cleaner. Also, it can be found near the center of the cleaner where it sets into the frame and is protected by the turbine cover and turbine shaft shield that would need to be removed before exposing the shaft for replacement or repair.
