Pentair Racer / Racer LS Pressure Side Cleaner Drive Shaft Kit (360253)

The drive shaft kit is replacement parts that are made by Pentair. Making them genuine OEM parts that all our customers can trust.

Like most vehicles or products that have wheels, they all have something that gives them the power and ability to move, and in most cases, this comes from a driveshaft. However, this shaft, in particular, gets its power from the turbine that is located on its end. Above that is a turbine cover w/elbows which takes the high-pressure water coming from the water management system and turbine hose that it is attached to and shoots it directly to the turbine. This rotating power is then sent to the wheels enabling the cleaner to move around the pool as it sucks and pulls dirt and debris from its surface.

The shaft itself is plastic and the turbine on its end is gray, making both parts easy to recognize when looking at the internals of the cleaner. Also, it can be found near the center of the cleaner where it sets into the chassis and is protected by the turbine cover that would need to be removed before exposing the shaft for replacement or repair.
