This hose weight was designed specifically for the sweep hose, and its job is to make the sweep hose and all-purpose bag heavy enough to where it wont float or move atop the water. This would make it ineffective for cleaning the bottom surface of your vinyl or fiberglass in-ground pool.

This weight is metal but thin enough to be molded to the shape of the hose while also being light enough to not overweigh the hose to the point where it cannot move. Also, there is a total of 9 weights needed to be placed throughout the hose in order for it to function properly.
