Every pressure-side pool cleaner has internal parts that disperse the high-pressure water that comes from the booster pump or the filtration pump/skimmer (depending on the cleaner) to the areas that are vital to the success and cleaning capabilities of each cleaner. This is where the mechanism comes into play. Being made from several different parts like the cylinder, piston assembly, center chamber, randomizer ball, filter connector/randomizer tube kit, and finally the connector chamber.
This mechanism can be found in the head of the cleaner which floats atop the water as the cleaner operates. Like a motor in a car, this part is responsible for aiding in the cleaners ability to move around the top of the pool’s surface as well as the bottom because it disperses high-pressure water needed for the sweep hose to operate and clean the dirt and debris off the bottom surface. Replacing this part could be what the cleaner needs if it is no longer performing its tasks like it once did when it was first purchased as the parts can wear or deteriorate over the length of time and use of the cleaner.
